My Game of the Year for 2009 !!!!

Asassianscreed2

I have only really been playing this game for a couple of hours now, but it has beaten all contenders into a very quick submission. I am of course, talking about Assassins creed 2.

I have been really impressed with everything I have seen so far. I have to admit I was rather irritated with the teaser trailers etc, I thought they were released in spite by Ubisoft to drive us nuts, which did work.

But now, that I have it in my ps3, I am glad they took their time in getting it out. because man alive it is awesome!

I admit that it takes time to get used to the controls especially when trying to learn them while flying around the roofs of the city but once you do get a handle on them, it is just an amazing game. The setting alone is fantastic:

AC2scene

The action is fluid, and it doesn’t really feel like it’s a game, all movement just seems natural. I am normally very critical of the AI in games as well, but then AC2 has gotten it right. When you are being chased by the soldiers in the game, and they lose sight of you, they assume you are hiding nearby and actually go and check all hay and leave piles, door ways etc. Getting on to the roof tops is not enough to get away from them either, I have had, on several occasions, soldiers find the nearest ladder and climb up to continue the chase.

AC2Action

It has been a long time since I have been sitting at work, fidgeting cause I want to go home to play a game. AC2 makes you want to play, you just can’t wait to find out what happens next.

I suggest you go out and buy it now. It is available on PS3, Xbox, PSP, Nintendo DS, and PC.

All Images I have used in this post are owned by Ubisoft. I make no such claims that they are mine.
