Great Technical Speaker Tips and Help
I have recently been put on notice, by the powers that be at my company, that I may have to present or co-present at a conference next month. The conference is not a small one, it is Share Conference 2012. This is not a small conference, it is the event for SharePoint in terms of business users. Due to the size and reputation of the conference and the level of quality of the presentations.
So I started to panic, then I realised that I follow one of the best technical presenters currently out there: Scott Hanselman. So I did a quick search of his blog and come up with some real gems. He has also done a video called “The art of speaking” which is published by Tekpub. Below are some links I found to posts he has done.

So, hopefully now if I have to present at Share Conference, I will survive.
Golfcard: First Look
This is a sneak peak at my first Windows Phone 7 App, called Golfcard. It allows the user to record their rounds of golf and it will work out their handicap based on the South African Golf Association rules. It is only a guideline handicap and must not be used in place of your official handicap from SAGA, as this app can’t take into account the daily difficulty rating that each course gets based on weather and course condition at the time of the recorded round.
Below are some screenshots from the app, I haven’t published it yet to the Marketplace as I am testing and making a few changes to the application.
Once published it will require data connection for error reporting to a service that I have written so I can collect error data.
